Results and findings

A range of age groups completed the survey, skewing towards older age groups. This directly reflects the proportion of people in the Australian community who are blind or have low vision.

The age range with the highest number of respondents was 80 to 89, followed by the 70 to 79-year-old demographic.

Self-identified vision status

The respondents were asked to self-identify their vision status. 258 respondents stated they were blind (22.53%) and 887 respondents identified as having low vision (77.47%).
