In general, the majority of the blind and low vision respondents of the survey find websites extremely (21.8%) or somewhat (37.6%) difficult to use. 22.0% of respondents find websites neither easy nor difficult whilst only 13.9% find websites somewhat easy and just 4.7% of respondents find them extremely easy to use.

The reported difficulty in using websites is negatively correlated to the respondent's age. The older the respondent, the more difficult they reported finding websites to use.

Those using screen readers reported finding websites easier to use than those relying on zoom text and magnification.

Native apps

When asked about ease of use of native apps, respondents reported a similar level of difficulty as with using websites. 24.4% found apps extremely difficult and 34% found them somewhat difficult to use. This contrasted with just 5.7% of respondents who generally found apps extremely easy to use.

The reported difficulty in using apps skews by age. The older the respondent, the more difficult they reported finding apps to use.

Those using screen readers reported finding apps easier to use than those relying on zoom text and magnification.
