Almost half a million Australians live with low vision, which we predict will increase by 25% by 2030.
It’s time to make a change.
Stigma and a lack of understanding can be barriers to inclusion, which is why we’re thrilled to announce a new project that will help more Australians see the world through the eyes of someone with low vision.
The Pupil Project is a new 5-part video series designed to build understanding by showing the world through the eyes of someone with low vision.
This video series represents five real life scenarios that people in the low vision community can often find themselves facing, raising awareness of the real challenges and misconceptions they experience and was inspired through workshops with people who are blind or have low vision.

It’s hard to be inclusive if you don’t know how. In 2023, we learned that 72% of sighted Australians are open to learning more about being more inclusive*, but many don’t know what they can do.
Whether it's through simple communication tips or practical situations like guiding someone with vision loss, promoting inclusivity doesn't have to be hard.
