It’s a common complaint for blind or low vision apple users – VoiceOver just stops working randomly.
You swipe left and right, and there’s no audio output.
Talking Tech host David Woodbridge has the solution.
“You think I'm flicking left and right, nothing's talking to me,” he said.
“But what's happened is by accident you’ve turned this thing on called screen recognition by swiping down.”
That swipe down motion automatically turns on screen recognition which disables the audio output of VoiceOver.
So no, it’s not broken, just try swiping down, David recommends.
“It’s something that I encounter all the time. I just wish there was the warning or it wasn’t in the rotor by default.”
