As some states and territories prepare for a change in approach to COVID-19, we are reminding the blind and low vision community of our commitment to you.
Our priority is to provide our supports and services in a manner that is safe for our clients, staff, volunteers and the wider community.
Our services and supports may look and feel a little different in the next few months, but by working together we’re confident we can overcome any challenges.
Keeping you safe
Our organisations will continue to follow all government health advice and do everything possible to keep you safe.
With the easing of restrictions in much of Australia, each of our organisations will also be taking a measured and safe approach to providing more in-person services.
As we continue to follow health advice, from time to time we may have to temporarily close our locations or focus on delivering our services by telehealth.
We also have our own COVID-19 protocols in place around the use of PPE, cleaning and screenings our workforce and clients.
These measures are important for protecting you and our workforce.
Vaccinations
We support the rollout of vaccinations to all Australians.
We are continuing to provide services to all clients, regardless of vaccination status, and we will work with you to achieve the most effective and safe way to access services.
Your concerns
As the situation continues to change, we understand you may have questions about what it means for you.
We’re here to answer any questions you may have about the steps we’re taking to keep you safe and meet your goals. Please feel free to speak to your service provider or contact your local office if there’s anything you wish to discuss.
The past two years have been extremely challenging for us all, but as a sector we’re looking forward to getting back to working with our community in the ways we’re used to.
