Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.
Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight Christmas Eve event is now only days away. So with this iconic annual celebration raising funds to support Vision Australia Children Services, it is timely in the program for the week of December 15, to examine the support offered to young children and their families by the nation’s leading blindness organisation. To this end, Stephen Jolley speaks with 7 year old Oliver Fanshawe and his mum Melissa. They talk about their contact with Vision Australia throughout Oliver’s life and explain how it all is for this active young boy who happens to have low vision. Then one of Vision Australia’s Early Childhood Specialist Teachers brings us insights in to the role of family support provided by the Children Services team.
