As users of Vision Australia services, clients are in a prime position to offer a perspective on the effectiveness and efficiency of all aspects of the Organisation.
In recognition of this, Vision Australia has developed and introduced an ambitious client consultative model that engages clients in meaningful consultation from the grass roots through to the Board and Executive.
Happy 21st Birthday Nundah Low Vision Local Client Group
The Nundah Low Vision Support Local Client Group celebrated its 21st birthday with a luncheon at the Geebung-Zillmere RSL Club recently. Approximately 20 members enjoyed dessert and a chat with their fellow long-time members.
Maureen Davenport is President of the Nundah Low Vision Local Client Group and active member of the Regional Client Committee in Region 5. Maureen said the group was very proud of how many people they had helped over the years. "The vision impaired social group enjoys theatre outings, bus trips and visiting different clubs for lunch," she said. "We are a local client group of Vision Australia and may be able to help people with low vision inquiries."
The group meets at the Historical Rooms (rear of Nundah Library, off Boyd Road, Nundah) on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. For more information contact Maureen on 07 3266 3452.
