An Audio description trial is currently underway on ABC television, finally bringing enhanced access to television to many Australians who can benefit from the service.
But from November 4, the service is scheduled to be switched off and we need your help to keep it going.
Please help us by encouraging as many people as possible to send It's as easy as ABC, To Keep AD going for me postcards to the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy and the ABC's Managing Director, Mark Scott.
Every postcard sent helps convince these decision makers to keep audio description switched on in Australia for equal access and inclusion for all.
A joint media release between VA, BCA, ACCAN and MAA can be found here.
For more information or to order postcards, call Vision Australia 1300 84 74 66 or visit www.audiodescription.com.au and Twitter at @ADonTV.
Thank you for your support.
