About the course

Crime Fiction is one of the most popular genres in the Vision Australia Library. Our library members love the intrigue, the complex protagonist, multiple plot twists, never-ending suspense and the inevitable cliff-hanger.

The popularity of this thrilling genre extends beyond our readers, to our eager writers and aspirational authors. The inspiration to write crime fiction may be an evil character, a dark setting, a gruesome murder or a mysterious victim. All of these are ingredients of a gripping crime novel, tied together with a labyrinth of clues.

Vision Australia Library invite all our crime fiction fans to join us for our final writing program for 2025. Expertly facilitated by Anna Snoekstra, this four-week writing program will focus on all the key elements that leave readers obsessing over whodunnit! A spine-chilling crime scene, an intriguing detective, a mysterious victim, multiple suspects, confusing clues, and a tension fuelled countdown to a sinister deadline.

This is a free online course, running over four weekly sessions on Wednesday 5, 12, 19, and 26 November 2025. Time: 1.30pm-3pm AEDT.
