Talking Vision is Vision Australia Radio’s flagship program, discussing the latest news and issues from a blindness and low vision perspective.
On this week’s show Sam chats with Dina Bassile, founder of accessible music festival Groove Tunes, taking place at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne on June 3.
This will be the second edition of Groove Tunes, after a positive reception from music lovers in the disability community in 2022.
Dina herself has lived experience of disability and wants to ensure that live music is available to everybody.
“If your space isn’t accessible for one person you’re often not just missing out on one ticket but potentially five or six tickets," Dina said
“Live music is such a universal thing, it’s so important to be inclusive to everyone and allow that enjoyment for all people,” she said.
