Vision Australia Order and Shipping Policies
Vision Australia sells products that can assist people who are blind or have low vision. We offer advice about items that may be suitable for a person's needs and have a range of equipment available. Furthermore, one of Vision Australia’s fundraising efforts is represented by the Christmas and Gift Merchandise sales throughout the year. Proceeds assist Vision Australia to provide services to people who are blind or have low vision.
If you do not wish to order these products online or prefer to pay via cheque or money order, please call 1300 84 74 66 to order. You can also visit one of our outlets but please note that not all of them carry the complete product range. Be sure to call us before you visit to make sure we have what you are after. Shop opening hours are from 9:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Magnifiers and other optical aids:
We only list a small range of our magnifiers and other optical aids in the online shop. To determine the magnifier or optical aid that best meets your needs, we recommend you to phone 1300 84 74 66 (1300 VISION) to book an appointment with our Low Vision Service.
Computer related adaptive technology:
Vision Australia sells a range of computer related adaptive technology and video magnifiers (CCTVs). Given the cost and individual nature of one's vision loss we recommend you contact our Adaptive Technology Helpdesk to assist in determining the best technology solution for your needs. Call 1300 84 74 66 (1300 VISION) on weekdays from 9:00am to 4:30pm and ask for the Adaptive Technology Help Desk.
Donations and Product Orders
- All Orders must be paid up front.
- Receipts for donations are sent separately from any products purchased.
- Online payment can be made by a MasterCard or Visa credit card.
Product Availability
Should an item be discontinued or temporarily out of stock our Customer Service team will contact you.
Postage & Handling
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are intended for shipment within Australia.
For mailing overseas, please contact our National Contact Centre on 1300 84 74 66 or email info@visionaustralia.org and confirm postage and handling charges before ordering or sending a cheque or money order.
Postage charges vary according to the item ordered.
For Equipment Solutions products, the following postage charges apply:
- $4.00 for 1 small item only (less than 500g)
- $8.00 for 2-3 small items (or if product has a sale price more than $50)
- $13.00 for 4 items & (or product weighs more than 2kg)
For Vision Australia fundraising merchandise products, the following postage charges apply:
- $7.00 for 1 small item only (less than 500g)
- $12.00 for 2-3 small items
- $17.00 for 4 items & (or product weighs more than 2kg)
The above postage charges apply to Australian deliveries only.
Postage and handling charges do not apply for e-gift donations.
Packing
Vision Australia will ensure that goods are prepared with a reasonable amount of packaging material so as to provide for a safe delivery.
Timing
Vision Australia endeavours to deliver the goods in the minimum time possible which spans from 2 to 14 working days, within receipt of order. If the goods are not received within this time, the Customer should contact Vision Australia on 1300 84 74 66 to notify the delay and ensure that the purchase has been processed.
Delivery Delays
When a delivery is not possible within the regular estimated time, due to unavailability of items for example, Vision Australia will attempt to inform the customer, as soon as possible.
Returns: Refunds and Exchanges
Vision Australia offers a 30 day refund or exchange policy.
Products can be returned under this policy if they are faulty or if the customer is not satisfied with the item.
Products are to be returned in “as new” condition, with a copy of the tax invoice/receipt and a letter of explanation within 30 days of date of purchase to: Vision Australia Locked bag 3012, Burwood NSW 1805.

The prices for the goods supplied include GST. Some products are listed that are GST exempt. Prices and special offers may vary during the year without notice.
