Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of June 23, we bring you a presentation looking at the state of vision loss throughout the world. At the recent Vision 2014 event, the international conference on low vision held in Melbourne from March 31 to April 3 this year, Professor Jill Keefe from the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA), addressed the issue of the global burden of Vision Loss. Professor Keefe OAM PHD has throughout her illustrious career carried out extensive research in the area of population health and health services in eye care and low vision. In this presentation she looks at trends in prevalence of vision loss throughout the world and identifies some of the issues raised.
