Blind commuter takes action against daily discrimination

Amit Patel was so frustrated with daily discrimination, that he took action. He fitted a camera to his guide dog to record his journeys around London. Some of the footage was shocking, dangerous and surprising.

Check today, see tomorrow – Indigenous eye health campaign

The Melbourne University Indigenous Eye-Health unit has launched a campaign for Aboriginal communities called Check Today, See Tomorrow.

The campaign aims to promote to Aboriginal communities how to manage diabetes-related vision loss.

As part of the campaign a toolkit has been devised including the production of fabulous song messages and stories.

And one those stories is Lynn story who shares her story of support for her husband on managing his diabetes and getting his eyes checked so he can keep his vision to see his grandchildren, country and Lynn. You can hear Lynn’s story on the YouTube channel here.
